Parent Volunteer Roles
- Practice Fuel Organizer
- A volunteer with this role is responsible for bringing the team beverages and snacks to practices. These should be nutritious and fuel for the Leaders to have before, during, and after practice.
- Track Meet Day Support:
- Tent Providers (Group of 4 people)
- Volunteer’s responsible for providing a meeting space where families and team members can go during meets.
- Food/Beverage Organizer
- Volunteer's are responsible for bringing food to the meets for the Leaders. These should be nutritious and quick snacks for the Leaders to grab during the meet.
- Volunteer's are responsible for bringing water, sports drinks, and any other healthy drinks for the Leaders to have during the meet.
- First Aid Kit Provider (Athletic Trainer Preferred)
- Volunteer's (preferably with experience in medicine) are responsible for bringing a first aid kit to all of the meets. They can aid in small bruises and cuts and also direct if the child should be seen by someone else.
- Please provide a massage gun
- Meet Directors (6-8 Interns Per Outdoor Meet)
- Volunteer’s are responsible for knowing which Leaders are competing on a meet day and helping direct parents to races when they are happening.
- Events Organizer
- When a social event is coming up, this volunteer is in charge of decorations.
- Events: Food Organizer
- A group of volunteers is responsible for bringing food to an event. This includes entrees, desserts, snacks, and beverages.
- A group of volunteers is responsible for bringing food for the volunteers at the events.
- Events
- Tent Providers (Group of 4 people)
- Fundraising Team (6- 10 Parents)
- These volunteers are responsible for coming up with fundraising ideas and executing them. They should keep the morale up with the Leaders and their fundraising and motivate them to fundraise a lot.
- Welfare Officer
- This volunteer is responsible for being the person any of the Leaders can go to for support. They are in charge of looking after the children and reporting any issues to Willie and Kelsay.
- Competition/Meet Volunteers
- Certain meets require AthLead to run one of the field events. For our coaches to coach your Leaders, we will ask our Herd to get involved and help run events. No prior experience is necessary.
- I will send out emails before these events to recruit volunteers, but I would appreciate one parent taking charge and making sure that all slots are full before the competition.
- Awards Clerk
- Report to the tent to pass out medals to athletes who finish 1st - 8th and make sure you congradulate the athletes as you give out these awards.
